At first I was like wtf, but then I thought about it and it made a little sense. Although, I wish that they went more in depth as to why Serah has the Eyes of Etro aside from just saying “omg you have them.” I thought it really helped to tie the player into the characters, at least it did for me. I really felt Noel’s pain when Serah died, and Hope’s…hopelessness /shot. But especially Noel, because he was already in turmoil over not being able to save Yeul, and now he lost the second closest person to him. I felt that the ending was pretty tragic, and not what I was expecting, though I did like it to a certain degree.

Definitely agreed on the Eyes of Etro thing. Though I feel like the end was a slap in the face? I found the ending overall to be pretty depressing, but I’m kind of mad it was just like “welp humanity’s doomed, thanks for playing.”
